About
In 1997, Gerard Loft was established in the heart of the Florentine fashion district, occupying a modest 70 square metres area.
The visionary interior designer and sculptor Nicola Frignani from Wunderkammer Studio in Milan lent his artistic touch to the space. Over time, the shop has undergone multiple expansions and transformations, now spanning a vast 600 square metres. One significant expansion took place in 2002, increasing the shop's size from 80 to 250 square metres and adopting a Brooklyn loft aesthetic with hints of Berlin influence. Later on, another floor was annexed and incorporated into the shop's design, featuring elements of an old legal office that were restored and preserved alongside original rough finishes. To add a unique touch to the space, renowned photographer Toni Thorimbert's work is featured in a permanent exhibition. These recent renovations have elevated Gerard Loft into a special destination used for various purposes such as photo shoots, film sets, private events, and previews by artists. Tommaso Pecchioli, son of Paolo Pecchioli who owns world-renowned fashion store Gerard, opened Gerard Loft with a passion for blending tradition and rebellion through modern youthful creations.
