About
The regional Enoteca of Barbaresco was founded to promote local wine.
It is housed in a church that was formerly owned by the religious order Confraternity of San Donato. The people of Barbaresco constructed it in the middle of the 1800s as a token of appreciation for the superior wine that the village's surrounding hills produced. The church is a perfect place to show how good wine is made by combining vineyard and cellar techniques. The presentation of Barbaresco wines is the main focus of the Enoteca. Over 142 producers are represented, corresponding to over 240 wines and more than 90% of the zone's total production.
