For five generations, the Berutti family has passionately dedicated itself to the care of its vineyards in the heart of the municipality of Barbaresco.
The story dates back to 12 November 1920, when Giovanni purchased the first vineyard in the MGA Phaset of approximately one hectare from Count Eugenio Cocito.
His son Gepin, Giuseppe in dialect, with his wife Emilia, continued to work the fields and the vineyard, producing wine for family and friends. La Spinona is managed by Pietropaolo, who represents the 5th generation, who personally manages the production and vinification of all the wines, with the support of his father Gualtiero who takes care of the vineyards and the livestock farm.
