About
Castello Vicchiomaggio is a well-known producer of internationally renowned wines. Wine has always been produced at the Castle and its owners, John and Paola Matta, dedicate their lives to preserving this centuries-old tradition.
Among the cultivated varieties stands out Sangiovese, a traditional and fundamental grape for the production of Chianti Classico. There are, however, other varieties of international varieties such as Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. The latter in particular are used for the production of IGT red wines.
