At Tenuta La Favola, the owners grow a variety of vines, including Nero dAvola and Frappato, along with unique Syrah and Grillo.
The farm stands on a hill in the southernmost tip of Sicily. To the north it has the plume of smoke of Etna, to the south the blue of the Mediterranean Sea and the Ionian Sea. The streets among the rows are white with limestone and at night, when the moon shines, the earth shines. It’s the area of the best wineries in the Southeast, the cradle of Nero d'Avola. A small corner of Paradise in a district that rightly is called Buonivini.
