About
The slopes of Vesuvius are known for its wines for 2000 years. Lacryma Christi, a type of wine still produced in the winery has its roots in the ancient Roman period
In 1930, Giovanni Russo decided to found a small winery in Trecase, on the slopes of Vesuvius.
At that time the wine was transported to Naples aboard horse-drawn carts and there was the "trafeca": the negotiation between small producers and retailers who sold wine in the city.
Giovanni’s son, Maurizio, soon began to help his father in his activity by starting his apprenticeship as a worker.
