Giuseppe Cortese, a Barbaresco native, started his lifelong passion for winemaking by assisting his father Giacomo in the family winery.
the Cortese family is the largest owner of the renowned Rabaja Cru. After gaining several years of experience, Giuseppe Cortese realized that maximizing the terroir's potential and lowering vineyard yields would be the key to producing high-quality Barbaresco wines in the future. The ingredients that give Cortese wines their distinct personalities are meticulous care of the estate's vineyards, meticulous selection of the best clusters, traditional vinification methods, and a gentle hand. The estate is currently managed by Tiziana and Pier Carlo, third generation, with assistance from brother-in-law Gabriele.
