At the Oscar del Vino 2012, organized by the Italian Sommelier Foundation in Rome, Bibenda Assisi was recognized as one of the top two Italian Wine Shops.
Owner of Enoteca Bibenda Assisi, Nila Halun, shared her satisfaction, attributing their success to their love and passion for wine which they strive to pass on to their guests. She believes that wine embodies the cultural expressions of a region. Choosing Assisi was an easy decision as she was immediately drawn to the city's charm. Plus, it was the Franciscan friars who initially popularized wines like Sagrantino and Grechetto. Their selection includes both local favorites such as Assisi Rosso, Orvieto, Montefalco Rosso, as well as national and international varieties. They take great care in selecting each wine, considering the rich history, culture and tradition behind each glass.
