About

For those who enjoy both the mountains in summer and winter, as well as traditions and genuine experiences, this is the perfect place for you.

Located a stone's throw away from Rivisondoli square, in a cozy corner facing one of the town's stunning churches, lies Giocondo - one of Alto Sangro's most charming restaurants. Originally an old warehouse, this restaurant has been lovingly transformed by Giocondo Gasbarro, who opened its doors in 1981. A decade later, he also opened Enogiò wine shop just a short distance away. Both establishments boast an abundance of delectable dishes and showcase the finest regional produce. The decor is simple yet characteristic of the beautiful mountain rooms, with dark wooden sideboards, benches, chairs and tables. Adorning the walls are traditional ceramics and prints that pay homage to nearby villages' local costumes. A well-known tradition among patrons is to arrive either at "midnight" (12:30pm) or just before 4:30pm for lunch. The atmosphere here strikes a balance between elegance and familiarity, with a highly attentive service team.
