The menu consists of dishes that symbolize the migrants' journey from Africa and the Middle East to Venice. These dishes showcase the diverse cultures the migrants encountered along their journey and have now re-adapted to in their new home. Through food and conviviality, Orient Experience aims to transmit new knowledge and create a sensorial and relational experience for diners. This project celebrates the potential of cultural exchange and diversity as sources of innovation and education. By working with reception centers for asylum-seekers and communities that support vulnerable individuals, Orient Experience also provides training opportunities in the catering sector for migrants seeking integration and work autonomy. Many members involved in this project were once migrants themselves, now successfully pursuing their life goals in their adopted country.
