There's nothing particularly noteworthy about this restaurant, but the locals know that Oscar serves good, frequently exceptional Ligurian homestyle food (lots of seafood and regional pastas) in a welcoming atmosphere.
One of Monterosso's most picturesque streets leads to Trattoria Da Oscar in the town's historic center. It is simply decorated, has a small number of seats—some of which are outside—and specializes in fish dishes, such as swordfish, fritto misto, stuffed vegetables, spaghetti on the rock, spaghetti with clams, and anchovies in carpione.
