About
The restaurant rooms, located on the upper floor of Grancaffè Quadri, were once the rooms of the Prosecutors of the Serenissima.
They were opened to the public in 1844 by the Vaerini brothers, who have been managing the place since 1830. In 2011, with the Alajmo family's arrival, a new journey began, resulting in the first Michelin star in 2012. In early 2018, Philippe Starck and skilled Venetian workers undertook an important restoration that will reveal the venue's original beauty and magic. The environment must be considered and influences the space, creating a mutual exchange that also reflects its historical layers. The gastronomic proposal is based on local products from the lagoon and Venetian tradition, recontextualized for modern times with a new radiance that adds depth to its flavors.
