About

An ancient ruin is home to a tree that defies gravity.

One little tree defies physics in the “Parco Archeologico delle Terme di Baia.” It is the modern city of Bacoli that holds the ruins of Baia. It was once a playground for Rome's super-rich, including the Emperors and their ilk. Julius Caesar, Emperor Nero, and Caligula all had villas there. Although the ancient town is now a revered archaeological site, no one told the upside-down fig tree that grows out of crumbling bricks.
