About

Located in the heart of Città Alta, this seventeenth-century palace boasts original interiors and a vast collection of artwork.

The historical park surrounding the palace includes an Italian garden and a large vegetable garden, adding to its charm. In 1646, the Moroni family acquired the property and has since resided there. Notably, the layout of the palace remains unchanged, from the main floor to the gardens that stretch towards Rocca civica. Accessible through a grand courtyard and monumental staircase, visitors can appreciate beautifully frescoed rooms furnished throughout the seventeenth to nineteenth centuries. The renowned Moroni Collection is also housed in this area, featuring notable pieces such as Gian Gerolamo Grumelli's "The Pink Knight" and Giovanni Battista Moroni's "Isotta Brembati." Alongside the palace is an impressive complex of formal Italian gardens situated on three terraces near Colle di Sant'Eufemia. Atop these gardens lies Count's Pensatoio, a nineteenth-century neo-medieval tower built upon ancient foundations belonging to Rocca civica. Surrounding the gardens is a two-hectare vegetable garden, obtained by brothers Pietro and Alessandro Moroni during the 1800s.
