Funerary art's "Mona Lisa.".
The Monteverde Angel, a masterpiece of neoclassical funerary art, guards the tomb of the Oneto family in Staglieno. This sculpture is regarded as one of the most beautiful and sensual sculptures of the genre, and it was created by Italian artist Giulio Monteverde in 1882. It is known as the "Angel of the Resurrection." Oneto, the Banca Generale president, commissioned the work of art to honor his family's memory.
