About
In the center of Florence, a remarkable house museum and cabinet of wonders.
The world reveres Florence, the birthplace of the Renaissance, for its magnificent structures and open-air museums. Private collections and art foundations, however, constitute an integral element of the culture of Tuscany's capital city in addition to the city's most well-known collections. The Massimo Listri Foundation, situated in the center of Florence's famed Oltrarno neighborhood, is one of the city's most fascinating private home museums. The renowned architectural photographer Listri is renowned for his majestic and ethereal depictions of revered landmarks like the Vatican and the Louvre. He has worked with major art publishers on more than 70 photography publications, which is an amazing list. In order to house his magnificent cabinet of curiosities, Listri, who is also an avid art collector, purchased the Order of Santo Stefano palace from the 16th century. Listri was inspired to create his own masterpiece, a home recognized for its enchanted atmosphere and an endless sense of the sublime, after taking photographs of hundreds of exquisite homes.
