About
This stunning castle, built in the fourteenth century, is set on a bluff overlooking the Bay of Trieste.
The castle was built in 1389 and is now the residence of the Thurn und Taxis noble family. The tower maintains a 360-degree sweeping view of its surroundings and overlooks the Gulf of Trieste. It has an articulated and labyrinth-like plan, and visitors can enter from the main entrance through a terrace that hides a narrow passage that leads down to the lower side of the building.
