There are many fascinating places to discover while traveling, including the Varenna Cemetery (Cimiterio di Varenna), which is located a little south of Varenna, on Lake Como. A rarely used road leads to the cemetery, which is carved into the hillside just after the spur trail leads to Castle Vezio. In a long and narrow stretch of land carved into the hillside, you find this resting place for hundreds.
