There is a small Venetian island community that paints its houses in neon colors.
The fisherman isle of Burano, located in the Venetian lagoon, features a layout akin to its neighbor Venice; full of canals. Unlike the melancholic feel of Venice, Burano’s cheerful and vibrantly painted homes bring a level of vibrancy. Comprised of four smaller islands which are connected by a series of bridges; they are held together by their enhances color palette. This attractive color scheme has been preserved for many decades until recently when it was brought back into practice.
