About
It is possible that treasures are still buried on the forbidden island of the Tuscan Archipelago.
Many people know about it, or at least about its “Count,” but few are actually allowed to visit it. A tiny island halfway between Corsica and the Italian peninsula, Montecristo, or “The Mount of Christ,” lies in the Tuscan Archipelago. If Alexandre Dumas hadn't written The Count of Monte Cristo, it would have remained a mere Mediterranean island.
