About
There are 200 squatters living in an abandoned Roman salami factory that has been converted into an art space.
Rome's abandoned salami factory has become both a collective art space and a refugee shelter. The factory's auxiliary buildings were turned into homes by several Roma and migrant families in 2009 after they cleaned the empty complex. When Curator Giorgio de Finis found the place in 2011, they had already begun painting murals on the walls.
