About
This medieval weapon is rumored to have been used by the brilliant poet himself.
When visiting Florence, it's not difficult to find references to the celebrated medieval poet Dante Alighieri. The small museum located in the presumed home of the writer goes beyond simply referencing his well-known creations and recounts the political context that shaped both him and his much-beloved city. The renowned Battle of Campaldino saw the Guelphs of Florence collide with the Ghibellines of Arezzo - a fight that ultimately granted Tuscany into the hands of pro-Pope supporters, the Guelphs.
