One of the tallest statues of Jesus in the entire globe can be found in Italy.
It is not widely known that the statue of Christ the Redeemer of Maratea is the tallest statue in Italy. A memorial iron cross had stood on top of the mountain since 1907, but it was often damaged by lightning and was replaced by a concrete cross in 1941. With a height of over 70 feet (21 meters), it is among the tallest statues of Jesus on earth.
