With its historic beginnings, the castle-fortress that looms over the village of Tagliolo was among the early Aleramo holdings.
It was altered over the years by centuries of fashion as well as the tastes of the many owners, including the Marquis del Bosco, the Malaspina family, the Republic of Genova, the Visconti family, and the Sforza family.
