All that remains of this alpine village is a schoolhouse and chapel.
As people moved to the city, Borgata Maison was slowly abandoned, leaving behind crude buildings and utilizing rocky outcrops wherever possible. The village was used until the 1960s. Near the schoolhouse is also a small chapel with frescoes on the exterior. Many of the buildings are in a state of extreme disrepair, while some are in remarkably good shape.
