About
A speakeasy-style bar, just 13 square feet, is one of the world's tiniest.
Nestled amongst the luxury restaurants of Ripa di Porta Ticinese at number 43 lies BackDoor 43, the world's smallest bar. Entry is granted with a key and a special password, while drinks are ordered through just a tiny slot window. Guests can escape from the busy life of Milan for one hour in this exclusive space, which is only 4 square meters in size, containing three stools and a bathroom. The bartender remains concealed behind a mask if customers do attempt to peek through the slot window. The grand opening of BackDoor 43 was kept hush-hush - the word was spread via cryptic riddles and secret books scattered around Milan.
