About
In Milan, a marble column bears the Devil's horns mark.
A white marble column stands outside the Saint Ambrose church in Milan with two prominent holes at the base. According to legend, the Devil attempted to seduce Ambrose into temptation. Frustrated by the holy man's indifference, the Devil struck the column with the head, puncturing the marble with his horns. With your imagination, you can still smell the sulfur and hear the sounds of hell.
