About
Psychedelic underground temples were created in an eco-village hidden in the foothills of the Alps.
The Temple of Humankind, constructed over 15 years beneath a suburban home in northern Italy, has become renowned as the eighth wonder of the world. Oberto Airaudi, nicknamed 'Falco', had no prior experience in architecture and kept his project a closely-guarded secret from authorities. Nevertheless, he was able to rally support from 24 dedicated followers, which has since grown to more than a thousand members. The labourers worked around the clock in four-hour shifts, taking care to mask their activity with false parties. After immense effort and creativity, Falco's dream was realised – an underground temple like no other.
