A McDonald's is probably the last place you would imagine seeing the remains of an ancient structure, but in Rome, it's not impossible. A McDonald's can be found on the ground floor and a McDonald's can be found in the basement of the Roma Termini station, in the heart of the city. It is hard not to notice the ruins of an ancient Roman wall that decorate the latter restaurant if you stop in to order McNuggets.
