Must See Places

About

Piazza Oberdan in Milan is below long-defunct art nouveau baths.

At the heart of Milan, near the Porta Venezia bastions, lies the forgotten baths of Albergo Diurno Venezia. Designed in 1923 by Marcello Troiani and completed in 1925, this restorative place offered services such as showers, shaves, manicures and pedicures to citizens and travelers. Boasting 30 bathrooms ranging from "average" to "luxury" and six shower cabins with changing rooms, ten toilets, two water closets, a coatroom and an ironing room - its glorious days may soon return if given enough time.
