About
Visitors can see the world without humans in an Italian crevasse filled with abandoned buildings.
Tucked away at the bottom of a deep ravine in Italy lies the “Valle dei Mulini,” or “Valley of Mills.” 35.000 years ago, a massive volcanic eruption changed the Mediterranean landscape forever, creating this picturesque grouping of modern ruins. The flour mills - built from stone back in the 13th century - benefitted from the stream running through the valley to supply Sorrentine residents with all sorts of wheat.
