About
A dying 16th-century Italian poet is said to have been consoled by the charred, dead skeleton of an oak tree.
Ponte di Cecco is the oldest bridge in the town of Ascoli Piceno, located in Central Italy. It forms part of the ancient Via Salaria, and is said to have been constructed during the age of the Roman Republic more than 2,000 years ago. The structure was recently renovated by an architect known as Cecco Aprutino.
