The collection contains some of the most disturbing wax anatomical models in the world.
In addition to medical drawings–including some by Leonardo da Vinci–the University of Siena has a large collection of wax anatomical models, over eight hundred skulls, a collection of pathological fetuses, and some of the most disturbing anatomical models. There are over a thousand dried anatomical specimens in the collection, which is descended from Paulo Mascagni's collection.
