About
This house was constructed solely for the purpose of deceiving a father's son.
Scuretto, also known as Scuretto the Cobbler and a heavy drinker, had a son who emigrated to America. He regularly sent money to his father so that he could build a house in the town that he hoped to one day return to. However, Scuretto spent most of the money at local taverns. One day, when his son asked for a photo of the house, Scuretto had the only façade built and sent the photo to his son. The house was never completed and his son eventually stopped sending money to his father.
