About
Palazzo Terzi's two building phases were a result of two marriages: Marquise Luigi Terzi's union with Paola Roncalli in 1631, and the later marriage between Marquise Gerolamo Terzi and Giulia Alessandri.
The initial stage saw the construction of the façade and southern wing, while the second saw the expansion of the opposite square. As you approach the entrance, you'll be struck by the stunning terraced garden arranged on multiple levels, offering an incredible view. The interiors are equally impressive, with rooms like the Mirrors Sitting Room, Red Hall, and Hall of Honour showcasing exquisite examples of 18th-century "Barocchetto" style. Don't miss out on Giovanni Battista Tiepolo's attributed artwork on the ceiling of Sala del Tiepolo. Even writer Hermann Hesse was enchanted by Palazzo Terzi when he stumbled upon Piazzetta Terzi in 1913, calling it "one of Italy's most beautiful corners – a delightful surprise worth traveling for."
