About
The builders in the area still have a remembrance of an antique measurement system.
In the central Piazza Garibaldi is the Governor’s Palace, the original building of which dates back to the 13th century. After undergoing numerous changes, its present form dates back to the second half of the 18th century. There is a sample of "Parmesan brick," embedded in the wall near the corner of Via Cavour, that dates back to antiquity and measures approximately 28 cm long x 12 cm wide x 5.6 cm thick.
