About
A tribute to the washerwomen who lived in Pavia.
Pavia is located on the banks of the Ticino river. There is a statue of the washerwoman on the other side of a covered bridge connecting the city with its suburban counterpart. On the south side of the river, it's also a great vantage point to see the nearby covered bridge and city. This area was historically home to washerwomen, gravel quarrymen, and fishermen.
