About
A monument honoring Brazil's obscure contribution to World War II.
The role of Brazil in the European theatre of World War II is one of the least well known aspects of the war. 25,000 soldiers of the Brazilian Expeditionary Force fought against Germans and Italians in Italy in 1944. In their final push, the Brazilians advanced as far as Turin and joined up with French troops at the border in Susa on May 2.
