About

Once the hunting reserve of a noble family, this is one of the few remnants of Pleistocene planitial forest in northern Italy that still stands.

Only a small portion of the original forest still stands in Pianura Padana, Italy. One of the remnants is Bosco Fontana, which was kept intact because of the Gonzaga Family.
