About

This building bears a massive Latin inscription from the 15th century that honors Lorenzo Manilio's devotion to Rome.

On a historical building along Via del Portico d'Ottavia, there is an inscription celebrating the former owner's love for his city and its glorious classical heritage. The spice merchant Lorenzo Manilio built himself a large mansion during the second half of the 15th century, which was adorned with a large inscription and roman archaeological finds called spoilas throughout.
