About
The University of Siena's Astronomical Observatory was established in 2004 at the university complex of Porta Romana, inspired by the ancient fascination with Astronomy.
This tower was originally built in the nineteenth century for observing the sky. Now, it serves as a space for both observation and study of the mysteries of deep space. Through the use of advanced instrumentation and modern technologies, students at both the university and high school level can learn to navigate and appreciate the hidden wonders of our universe.
