About

This amazing 600-year-old tree served as the inspiration for the well-known Pinocchio story.

An enthralling oak flourishes deep in a Tuscan forest. Its densely verdant limbs stretch sideways, lending it an oddly flattened look. This ancient tree has a plethora of monikers and is the source of much folklore. Locals tell tales of witches congregating around the 600-year-old oak, performing frenzied rituals while perched atop its knotty boughs. According to legend, it was these enchantments that stunted the oak's growth and altered its form, causing it to broaden rather than grow tall.
