About
A remarkable collection of anatomical waxworks from the 18th century.
Housed in the Museo di Palazzo Poggi in Bologna, the Anatomical and Obstetrics Collection boasts some of the world's rarest and most exquisite 18th century anatomical waxworks. These works were created by master craftspeople like Clément Suisini, Ercole Lelli, Giovanni Manzolini and Anna Morandi. Notably, Lelli was renowned among 18th century artists for his ecorches - anatomically accurate figures made from skeletons covered in lifelike wax body parts.
