About
Located in the heart of the city, just a stone's throw from Piazza Maggiore, lies Palazzo Galvani, a 15th century building that houses the renowned Museo Civico Archeologico.
Established in 1881 and admired for its impressive Egyptian collection - ranking as the third largest in Italy and among the most significant in Europe - this museum holds a special place among the city's prestigious institutions. Its Roman, Greek, and Etruscan-Italic sections are also notable, with particular emphasis on the latter which showcases Felsina's historical progression. Additionally, visitors can explore a newly-renovated Gallery of plaster casts, as well as peruse through the Gallic section and one of Italy's top numismatic collections.
