About
An abandoned hotel in the Italian Alps that was once a luxurious resort.
The Grand Hotel Campo dei Fiori was constructed in 1910 on a mountaintop above Varese, offering an escape from reality with its isolated location. To get to this lavish accommodation, visitors had to take the funicular railroad up the mountain, which is still there today. Possessing a combination of the opulence of the Grand Budapest Hotel and the eeriness of the Overlook Hotel, the once-grand hotel now lies in disrepair.
