About
The Capuchin Friars Minor order has owned the Convent of San Francesco in Gallese since its establishment in 1550, making it the second oldest in Lazio.
Throughout its history, the complex has faced numerous challenges leading to multiple closures. It served as a shelter for evacuees during war times, causing significant damage to the structure. In 1977, it was acquired by a private owner who then completed a thorough restoration and transformed it into a historic residence. This change in management revived the essence of the building.
