Located in the rugged and stunning Barbagia region of Sardinia, with the sea just a short distance away, lies a land of junipers, embroidery, terracotta, and inlay. This area has also been home to talented Sardinian artists of the 20th century and boasts a rich culinary tradition. Originally established as a restaurant in 1967 by founder Giuseppe "Peppeddu" Palimodde, his idea to serve traditional food in this bandit-infested area near the natural spring of Su Gologone was met with skepticism. However, with the help of his wife Pasqua Salis Palimodde - renowned for her exceptional recipes - Oliena's first restaurant soon gained recognition worldwide. Their love for Sardinia is evident in every dish meticulously prepared with care and dedication.
