Golf Courses

About

It is the second-oldest Golf Club in Italy, having been founded on Lake Como at the end of the 19th century at the initiative of four British gentlemen.

Since 1961, when the Roncoroni family purchased the golf club from its former English owners, Antonio Roncoroni has associated his name with the Menaggio Gold club, which for him symbolizes his second life. This association began in 1992. The Italian PGA's founder, Antonio Roncoroni, made great efforts to develop this sport in his country. He planned the inaugural boys' and girls' national cadet championship at Menaggio. On the proposal of Antonio Roncoroni, John Harris fully remodeled the field in 1965. The Scottish Royal & Ancient Golf Club's historian, RAL Burnett, donated a print depicting Tom Morris "great" from St Andrews to Antonio Roncoroni in 1985 to cement the two organizations' genuine friendship. "English style" continues to be dominant on the course and in the halls of the circle. He has served as the Vittorio Roncoroni Circle's president since 1993.
