The 17 miles from the heart of the Eternal City Marco Simone Golf & Country Club is situated on the outskirts of Rome, surrounded by the lush Italian countryside.
The golf club was given the name of Marco Simone's castle. A Roman-era walled manor farm served as the castle. The tower was constructed about the year 1000, and later in the Middle Ages, further structures were constructed around it.
