More than a century ago, Historical Golf Bogliaco was established with the intention of becoming a landmark for all foreign visitors to Lake Garda.
Due to the foresight of a hotelier and the desire to meet the demands of growing tourists from Germany and the United Kingdom, Golf Bogliaco was established in 1912. It is Italy's third-oldest golf course. Since then, the course's fairways have followed the path of history: first, it was frequented by royalty and prominent people; in 1934, it was turned into a wheat field; next, German troops used it as a plane runway; and last, Americans utilized it as a baseball diamond. In 1952, it was put back into service as a golf course.
